Achille Messac has been named as distinguished professor and chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in Syracuse University’s L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science.

Deborah A. Freund, distinguished professor of public administration and economics at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, has been appointed the 15th president of Claremont Graduate University (CGU).
