Thanks to a $10,000 gift from Professor of Practice Scott Bernard G’98, students in the School of Information Studies’ Doctorate of Professional Studies in Information Management program now have a flexible fund to assist peers.

Professor John Baldwin is the 2010 recipient of the James Flack Norris Award in Physical Organic Chemistry.

On Nov. 2, Syracuse University, the Air Force Research Laboratory, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Say Yes to Education, Inc. and the Syracuse City School District will host and participate in an important panel event on improving and promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education in New York state.

Susan C. Herring will speak at the Syracuse University School of Information Studies (iSchool) at noon on Monday, Nov. 2, in the Katzer Room (347 Hinds Hall).

The researchers, who are from Rutgers University’s School of Communication and Information, will talk about their work on two new studies.

Graduates of the M.S. in library and information science program at SU’s School of Information Studies commanded the highest average salary compared with graduates of similar programs.
