Brown, associate professor in the School of Architecture, will receive the 2010 University Scholar/Teacher of the Year Award.

Syracuse University Alumnus Brandon Steiner ‘81, the founder and chairman of Steiner Sports Marketing, will speak at SU on April 6. The free event will begin at 7 p.m. in Crouse Hinds Hall, Room 010, and will include a book signing of Steiner’s “The Business Playbook–Leadership Lessons from the World of Sports” (Entrepreneur Press, 2003).

Michelle Singletary, nationally syndicated columnist for the Washington Post, will visit Syracuse University on Thursday, April 22, as a guest of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. She will speak at 6:30 p.m. in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium in Newhouse 3, followed by a reception and book signing.
