Student Experience

Dear Students and Families:

This is a most extraordinary time of year to be engaged in outdoor activities, with the fall foliage painting our campus and the Central New York community. This weekend also brings plenty of offerings for indoor amusement, physical and intellectual development, and gatherings with friends.

With that in mind, please stay safe while socializing with friends and family, and take full advantage of opportunities to get the flu vaccine and to participate in surveillance testing so that we can minimize the spread of all sorts of viruses that mark the fall and winter seasons.

Here are some activities happening on and around campus this weekend:

Thursday, Oct. 14

  • Epic Thursdays! at the Esports Room
  • Cycle
  • Yoga
  • Fitness Center Orientation
  • QTPOC Affinity Group
  • SoulTalk: Knowledge
  • Latinx Hispanic Heritage Month and Third Annual LGBTQ+ History Month Potash Keynote Featuring Ariana Brown and Alan Pelaez Lopez
  • Orange After Dark: WonderWorks

Friday, Oct. 15

  • Drag Show Bingo With Peppermint
  • Orange After Dark: Midterm Stressbuster
  • Orange After Dark and University Union Late-Night Move: “The Green Knight”
  • Late-Night Ice at Tennity

Saturday, Oct. 16

  • Student Association Grocery Run (Target and Walmart)
  • Open Skate at Tennity
  • Nintendo Console League: Mario Kart
  • League Academy
  • Yoga for Exercise and Balance
  • Orange After Dark: Midterm Stressbuster
  • Orange After Dark and University Union Late-Night Movie: “The Green Knight”

Sunday, Oct. 17

Whether cycling or skating to get your heart pumping, or breathing deeply to achieve a truly relaxed state, I wish you a joy-filled weekend colored by a Central New York autumn!

Have a great weekend!
