Human Resources Offers Guidance Sessions for Supervisors and Managers on Flexible Work Arrangements
Syracuse University recognizes and supports flexible work arrangements (FWAs) as a means to facilitate a productive work environment that is responsive to the changing professional and personal needs of today’s workforce. It is also recognized that in this time of COVID-19, there are some unique considerations to the Flexible Work Arrangement benefit.
The Office of Human Resources is offering a professional development program to provide guidance to supervisors and managers on FWAs. The virtual information session is led by Pam Gavenda, associate director of organizational development and training. Topics include:
- Differentiating FWAs from reasonable accommodation or other statutory mandates
- The different types of FWAs
- General considerations for assessing requests for FWAs
- FWA resources
Sessions have been scheduled for Nov. 25, Dec. 8, Dec. 21 and Jan. 6. For more information on this program, and to register, visit Flexible Work Arrangements—Guidance for Managers and Supervisors.
