Jiashun “Jensen” Zhang, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, was interviewed by New Hampshire Public Radio for the story “By Degrees: How Your Home’s Air Quality Links To Climate And Health.” Zhang, an expert on air quality, says that long-term exposure to particulate matter in the air can lead to serious health problems for some. “If exposure gets too high, it will increase the risk of cancer. But we really don’t know how much exposure will actually lead to the cancer,” says Zhang.
