During the event, “The Making of Internet Entrepreneurs: A Conversation with Alexis Ohanian and Wiley Cerilli,” Ohanian will discuss his book “Without Their Permission: How the 21st Century Will Be Made, Not Managed,” and talk with Cerilli about the culture of entrepreneurship, business building and how to get a start-up off the ground.

For Ohanian, the Syracuse talk is part of a five-month, 165-stop tour promoting his book on Internet entrepreneurship. Ohanian last spoke at Syracuse as a headliner for the iSchool’s #140Cuse conference in 2012.

In 2010, Cerilli founded SinglePlatform, a service that allows small business owners to easily manage and control their digital presence. In June of 2012, SinglePlatform was acquired by ConstantContact for $100 million.

The talk will begin at 6 p.m. in the Regency Ballroom of the Syracuse University Sheraton. A reception will follow. Parking is complimentary in the Sheraton garage. Seating will be limited, and attendees should R.S.V.P. with EventBrite at this link: alexisohanian-syracuse.eventbrite.com. Note that an R.S.V.P. does not guarantee a seat, and attendees should arrive early.
