Syracuse University has been named by G.I. Jobs magazine as a Military Friendly School for 2010.

Mehrzad Boroujerdi, director of the Middle Eastern Studies Program in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, was quoted by Radio Free Europe in a story on the death of Iraq politician Abdul-Aziz al-Hakim.

In order to better assist veterans, the University has established the Veterans’ Resource Center.

This semester, the SU Student Association will provide round-trip buses for Thanksgiving Break. Buses will serve four major Northeast cities: New York City, Philadelphia, Boston and Washington, D.C. The price of this service is $99 round trip.

This fall semester, the hours of Brockway Dining Center will start at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast and end at 8 p.m. for dinner, creating a 30-minute shift from the previous hours of 7 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
