On Thursday night, Chancellor Kent Syverud, on behalf of Syracuse University, welcomed more than 4,000 first-year and transfer students at the New Student Convocation in the Dome.

Xinye (Cindy) Zou ’17, the 2017 Whitman School Marshal, spoke at the New Student Convocation of how she arrived at Syracuse from China “with two suitcases and a future full of possibility.”
