Robert Doyle
Robert Doyle is the Laura J. and L. Douglas Meredith Professor of Biochemistry and Biotechnology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University. Professor Doyle is a medicinal chemist with an interest in pharmaceutical drug development for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. Doyle also has a broad background in synthetic bioconjugate chemistry, drug delivery and protein biochemistry.
In 2011, Doyle was appointed adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at SUNY, Upstate Medical University (UMU), in the Department of Medicine. He currently serves as the Director of the Graduate Studies program, and Associate Chair, of the Department of Chemistry.
Doyle received his both his B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Dublin, and attended Australian National University and Yale University for postdoctoral work in drug delivery and molecular biology/protein biochemistry, respectively.
