If you were on campus last weekend and saw a green glow, be assured that it wasn’t a mistake. The stadium and the Hall of Languages were lit green on May 1 for World Lyme Day.
The Central New York Lyme and Tick-borne Disease Alliance partnered with Syracuse University and area businesses to light buildings green to bring awareness to the prevalence of Lyme disease and improve the safe enjoyment of outdoor activities.
The volunteer organization works to raise awareness of tick-borne illnesses, including Lyme disease, provide resources to prevent illness, educate citizens and health care providers and provide information about research and clinical trials.
