Student Experience

Dear Students and Families:

As we head into the weekend and Thanksgiving break, I want to first wish you time filled with gratitude, opportunities to connect and reconnect with family and friends, and the things you enjoy most.

We have a schedule of activities heading into the weekend—a sampling is listed below. If you are remaining with us on or near campus during break, please remember to register in the Housing Portal if you live in on-campus housing, and to review the resources available during the break, including the Barnes Center at The Arch, Food Services, Schine Student Center and more.

As flu cases in our community continue to rise, I also want to remind you to take precautions to protect yourself, your family and others from illness. Whether you are remaining on campus or traveling, continue to exercise good health practices:

  • Get your flu shot!
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • If you are feeling sick, avoid contact with others.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing. Wearing a mask is always a great preventative measure.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water. Not near a sink? Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Clean and disinfect regularly touched surfaces and objects.
