Dear Members of the Syracuse University Community,
An administrative error in the Spring 2022 academic calendar has been discovered. To meet Syracuse University and New York State requirements, the calendar for the Spring 2022 semester must be adjusted.
After a review of options, including input from the Academic Affairs committee of the University Senate, the University will extend the end of the semester by one day. This means that the last day of classes, final exams, the last day of the semester and the final grade deadline will be as follows:
Last day of classes: Wednesday, April 27
Reading days: Thursday, April 28; Saturday, April 30; Sunday, May 1; Tuesday, May 3
Final examinations: Friday, April 29; Monday, May 2; Wednesday, May 4; Thursday, May 5
Last day of the Semester: Thursday, May 5
Final grades due from faculty: Thursday, May 12
The revised calendar preserves faculty grading time by extending the deadline for final grades to Thursday, May 12.
These revisions are reflected in the online schedule of classes in MySlice.
