A section of Comstock Avenue will be closed Saturday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. due to the chiller replacement project at the Life Sciences Complex. Comstock Avenue will be closed between Euclid Avenue and University Place.
Access by local traffic will be maintained with assistance from members of the Department of Public Safety and construction flaggers. All other traffic will be rerouted via Ostrom Avenue.
The closure is required for a crane to place upgraded HVAC equipment on the roof of the Life Sciences Complex. The entire project involves upgrades to the Life Sciences Complex air conditioning system. When the project is complete, the building’s cooling capability and efficiency will be expanded. The equipment needs to be installed before the University’s HVAC system converts to its winter cooling mode.
