St. Mary’s to break new ground with fully online J.D. program

Nina Kohn, the David M. Levy Professor of Law in the College of Law, was interviewed by National Jurist for the piece “St. Mary’s to break new ground with fully online J.D. program.” Kohn, who also serves as the Faculty Director of Online Education in the College of Law, is an advocate for online education, but recognizes the importance of still having live classes over video platforms. “A key benefit of live class sessions is that students get to practice the very skills they need to succeed as lawyers — including listening to others, responding to what others say, following a line of argumentation as it organically unfolds, and analyzing issues in real time,” said Nina Kohn.
