Hurricane Ida’s Unusual Tear Through the Northeast

Tripti Bhattacharya, Thonis Family Assistant Professor: Paleoclimate Dynamics in the College of Arts and Sciences, was profiled in the NPR story “Why Ida Hit the Northeast So Hard, 1,000 Miles Away From Its Landfall”. Bhattacharya discussed the severity of Hurricane Ida in the Northeast saying that there was “just the right mix of weather conditions” in place to fuel the system.
