New NCAA Protocols and Their Repercussions

Rick Burton, David B. Falk Endowed Professor of Sport Management in Falk College, authored an op-ed for Sportico “The next NCAA rights fight should be for para-sports athletes.” Prof. Burton was also interviewed for the Voice of America story “As Activists Increase Pressure, Beijing Olympics Sponsors Remain Largely Silent.” In the Sportico article, Burton discusses new legislation affecting the NCAA and its members such as the Alston case and the new stance on Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL).
