What is a Conservatorship And When is One Necessary?

Nina Kohn, the David M. Levy Professor of Law and Faculty Director of Online Education in the College of Law, was quoted in a CNN article “Conservatorships explained: What they are and who they’re supposed to help,” as well as articles in The Hill and The 19th.

Kohn, a Syracuse University law professor and a distinguished scholar in elder law at Yale Law School, noted, “I think conservatorship often happens behind closed doors, and people don’t understand what it is or how significant an impact it can have on a person’s life.”
