Due to utility work on Raynor Avenue, the Irving Avenue and Forestry Drive intersection will be temporarily closed. This will include a closure of Forestry Drive from Irving Avenue to Campus Drive, from Monday, July 12, to approximately Thursday, Aug. 12.
The work, being done by the CenTrio utility distribution team and their contractors, in coordination with Campus Planning, Design and Construction, is part of a continuing project involving chilled water piping installation along Raynor Avenue. This work will provide additional chilled water capacity to the stadium for air conditioning.
During this time, only local Syracuse University and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry traffic will be allowed campus entry at the Euclid Avenue entrance. Through traffic will not be permitted. Please plan to use an alternate route (e.g. Waverly Avenue). Sidewalk closures will be required as a part of the work and pedestrians should follow detours.
For everyone’s safety, you are encouraged to remain alert in work areas, watch for route changes, heed construction flagger directions/employees at work and follow pedestrian signs.
