Is the Golden Age of television gone? A fractured society means there’s less common ground for universally loved programming.
Robert Thompson, Trustee Professor of radio, television and film and director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture in the Newhouse School, was interviewed for the Washington Post article “Even as shows like ‘Mare of Easttown’ create buzz, the idea of the broader TV hit is going away.”
