“The sound of global endangered habitats and wildlife”

Douglas Quin, professor of television, radio and film in the Newhouse School, was featured in the Radio New Zealand story “The sound of global endangered habitats and wildlife.” Quin has spent the past three decades as a sound designer and naturalist, traveling the globe to record nature soundscapes. He pays particular attention to capturing the sounds of endangered and disappearing habitats, including the Artic, the Amazon and Antartica. In the radio interview he discusses the importance of his work and his role as a professor.
