“First Black Syracuse University Law Review editor ‘proud,’ hopes diversity becomes norm.”
Hilda Frimpong, a second-year student in the College of Law, was featured in the CNY Central story “First Black Syracuse University Law Review editor ‘proud,’ hopes diversity becomes norm.” Frimpong, who was born in Ghana before moving to Dallas with her family, says she was surprised find out she is the first Black student to become the Syracuse Law Review editor, but she is happy to break the barrier for the future. Frimpong was drawn to the College of Law due to its reputation, and she is grateful for the opportunities offered. “I think, particularly, when you don’t see yourself represented. I think that should be a reason that you do things, too, like be intentional of the spaces that you’re in,” Frimpong says.
