Student Experience

Within the Wellness Leadership Institute, students, faculty and staff are invited to attend a free 30-minute tax session workshop hosted by the Office of Financial Literacy. At varying times, over 30 workshops are available until Thursday, April 15.

Attendees will be taught how to file their taxes free of charge using TaxSlayer, an electronic filing program. Wellness Portal pre-registration is required to attend. If this is your first time using the Wellness Portal, please visit the Barnes Center at The Arch website for additional information and instruction.

General campus scenery“We’ve found that most students do not know where to start when it comes to filing taxes. To support the student experience and offer a cost-free alternative, we’re excited to offer this guided tax workshop to eliminate the stress and at times uncertainty of filing taxes,” says Kelsey Woodford, Office of Financial Literacy assistant director.

To request accommodations or with questions, please contact Barnes Center at The Arch Health Promotion at 315.443.8000 or email BarnesCenter@syr.edu.
