Sekou Cooke, assistant professor in the School of Architecture, had his work featured in The New York Times piece “How Can Blackness Construct America?” The article highlights a new show at MoMA in New York City, which features a collective of Black artists and architects, including Sekou. The show, titled “Reconstructions: Architecture and Blackness in America,” aims to “reclaim the larger civic promises of architecture.”
