Joan Bryant, associate professor and department chair of African American studies, was interviewed by WAER for the “Syracuse Speaks” series titled “Celebrating Syracuse’s Black History.” Bryant also serves as the custodian of the Black History Preservation Project, a virtual Black history museum that includes photos, documents, and interviews from the Syracuse region. She comments on Syracuse’s broad legacy of Black history.
