Roy Gutterman, associate professor of magazine, news and digital journalism and director of the Tully Center for Free Speech in the Newhouse School, was quoted by The Washington Post for the story “Smartmatic files $2.7 billion defamation suit against Fox News over election fraud claims.” Gutterman, an expert on First Amendment law, says that the lawsuit is compelling based on the facts. But, Gutterman also notes that “it will certainly be interesting to see how the defendants frame their responses.”
