“SU Law Professor Optimistic About Successful Transition for Biden Despite Delays.”

William Banks, Professor of Law Emeritus in the College of Law, was interviewed by WAER for the story “SU Law Professor Optimistic About Successful Transition for Biden Despite Delays.” Banks, an expert on national security law, believes that President-elect Joe Biden will not struggle in catching up with the transition of power process because his team has been preparing since his nomination. However, Banks believes such a contested transition of power is a sign of greater issues America has faced. “I feel a great deal has been lost symbolically and I believe our democratic institutions have been severely beat up by the bruising battles that have been fought for no good reason,” says Banks.
