Rosalinda Vasquez Maury, director of applied research and analytics with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF), was interviewed for the KPBS (San Diego) story “Veterans Usually Vote Strong Republican, But Polls Suggest That May Change This Year.” IVMF partnered with the Military Times to conduct a poll on veteran voter patterns, with results showing that “52 percent of veterans said they would vote for President Trump, while 42 percent backed former Vice President Joe Biden.” Maury, who helped lead the poll, says she’s “never seen it this close in previous years,” indications a possible shift in veteran’s attitudes towards the president.
