Election Day Is Tuesday; Here Are Polling Locations for Student Voters
Polls on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Students and faculty/staff residents who registered to vote locally in Onondaga County should have received postcards from the Board of Elections indicating their polling location.
For student voters living on North Campus, the polling location is Huntington Hall, Marshall Street entrance. This includes all North Campus residences (Boland Hall, Brewster Hall, and Brockway Hall, Booth Hall, Day Hall, Dellplain Hall, Ernie Davis Hall, Flint Hall, Haven Hall, Kimmel Hall, Lawrinson Hall, Marion Hall, Sadler Hall, Shaw Hall, Walnut Hall, Washington Arms, Watson Hall and the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center).
For students living in Lyons Hall, the polling location is the Spiritual Renewal Center, lower level (1342 Lancaster Ave.).
For students living in South Campus apartments and SkyHalls, the polling location is Drumlins Country Club (800 Nottingham Rd.); use the back entrance.
For students living off campus, or those who are unsure of their polling location, visit the Board of Elections voter lookup website or call the Onondaga County Board of Elections at 315.435.8683.
For students registered to vote locally in Onondaga County and who want to participate in early voting, the Shaw Center is providing free transportation to the following locations through Saturday, Oct. 31:
- Armond Magnarelli Community Center, 2300 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13208
- Syracuse Community Connection (Southwest Community Center), 401 South Ave, Syracuse, NY 13204
To request transportation and for additional details, complete the Shaw Center Early Voting Transportation Form (sign in using your SU NetID and password), or log into the Cuse Activities portal, search for the Shaw Center and access the request form on their organization page. The request must be made 24 hours in advance of travel. SU I.D. is required to board the bus.
