“How Salatha Willis plans to make Syracuse more inclusive.”

Salatha Willis, Associate Athletic Director for Diversity, Culture and Climate, and Danielle Smith, professor of African American studies in the College of Arts and Sciences and director of the Renée Crown University Honors Program, were featured in The Athletic article “How Salatha Willis plans to make Syracuse more inclusive.” Willis was appointed to this newly established position within the Department of Athletics in July 2020. Willis is responsible for developing and implementing new approaches to creating a highly engaged, inclusive and equitable culture for all of the University’s student athletes, administrators, coaches and staff in the athletics department.
