Shubha Ghosh, Crandall Melvin Professor of Law in the College of Law, was interviewed by Reuters for the story “Analysis: Google antitrust case to turn on how search engine grew dominant – experts.” Ghosh, an expert in antitrust law and technology, explains that the government’s lawsuit against Google claims the search engine has blocked “more consumer-friendly search engines.” However, Ghosh says that Google could have a relatively simple argument by saying their effective search results were “not meant to be exclusionary.”
