“Some Democrat Senate candidates buck liberal base on packing the Supreme Court”

Grant Reeher, professor of political science and director of the Campbell Public Affairs Institute in the Maxwell School, was interviewed by Fox News for the story “Some Democrat Senate candidates buck liberal base on packing the Supreme Court.” With the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, there has been much debate over whether Democrats will attempt to pack the court by adding new seats. Reeher, an expert on American politics and democracy, believes that the push to pack the court is an “empty threat” from Democrats towards President Trump. Reeher says it’s a “heavy lift politically. I have a hard time seeing that actually happening.”
