“Earth to Washington and Beijing: It’s not all about you.”

Mary Lovely, professor of economics in the Maxwell School, was quoted in the Politico story “Earth to Washington and Beijing: It’s not all about you.” This past week the U.N. General Assembly met, where it was evident that the U.S. and China continue to feud with one another. Lovely, an expert on U.S.-China economic relations, says that China will “discuss response to demands for debt relief due to Covid-19 economic disruptions from so-called Belt and Road Initiative countries in the context of continued BRI funding.”
