Patrick Penfield, professor of supply chain practice and director of Executive Education in the Whitman School, was quoted in the Associated Press story “Pandemic brings toilet paper from Mexico to American stores.” Penfield says that it has been common for U.S. stores to ship in products from Mexico during the pandemic, as there is a greater demand for the products in America.
