David Larsen, associate professor in the Department of Public Health at Falk College, was quoted in the Politico story “A Covid test that really stinks.” Larsen, a public health expert and epidemiologist, is leading the effort at Syracuse University to monitor and test campus wastewater for traces of COVID-19. Larsen says that wastewater management would greatly help with “confirming that it’s under control and public confidence that it’s under control,” which would help the nation return back to work in many instances.
