Dennis Deninger, professor of sport management in Falk College, was quoted in the Sportico article “Protest to Progress: What Pro Athletes Can Do To Initiate Meaningful Change.” Deninger, who is an expert on sports media and communications, says that in order for change to begin in regards to various social justice issues, “the owners and all of the league’s partners and advertisers to buy in,” as they are the ones with access to change at the federal level.
