As the University prepares for the Fall 2020 semester, faculty and staff are invited to volunteer alongside the Office of First-Year and Transfer Programs during Syracuse Welcome, Monday, Aug. 17, to Sunday, Aug. 23. Those interested in volunteering are asked to reserve volunteer date(s) and time(s).
From supporting central check-in and testing within the Skytop parking lot to supporting residence hall move-in with greeting and wayfinding, volunteers have a variety of options with scheduling flexibility.
Safety is a top priority, and social distancing will be practiced. Faculty and staff will not be touching students’ belongings, but will rather serve as a warm welcome to the newest members of the Orange community.
Additional details will be shared in a virtual training session on Friday, Aug. 14, at 9 a.m. A recording of the training will available for those who cannot attend.
Students interested in volunteering are invited to register as a Goon Squad Health Ambassador by Friday, Aug. 14.
