“Group Home Residents With Disabilities Live With Precautions To Keep COVID-19 At Bay.”

Scott Landes, associate professor of sociology in the Maxwell School, was quoted by WFYI Public Media for the story, “Group Home Residents With Disabilities Live With Precautions To Keep COVID-19 At Bay.” Landes, an expert on the sociology of disability, researches the impact of COVID-19 particularly on those with disabilities. He says that anyone living in congregate settings  during the pandemic is at a greater risk of contracting COVID-19, but those with disabilities are “about five times more likely to be diagnosed with COVID-19, which is outrageous.”
