New art project aims to raise awareness around Covid-19 among people of color

New digital billboards have begun popping up around Syracuse about the effect of the coronavirus pandemic on communities of people of color.
Award winning Syracuse University Artist in Residence Carrie Mae Weems uses photographs, film and video to discuss themes about race, politics and social issues. She has designed a new project called “RESIST COVID TAKE 6!” The “take six” in the title refers to the recommended six feet of separation in social distancing.
