social graphicSyracuse University’s flagship social media channels (@SyracuseU) are uplifting the community during these unprecedented days of social distancing. Followers are provided with virtual engagement opportunities, fun content, and stories about the community coming together and making an impact.

Recently, @SyracuseU followers had the opportunity to download Syracuse backgrounds for Zoom, watch the “Orange Moments” videos, learn about a collaboration to create 3D-print face shields in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, enjoy the excitement of Syracuse Bound students and more.

Coming up, followers can look forward to custom content each weekday:

Mapping Mondays: Plan your week with this snapshot of the University Events Calendar on @SyracuseU’s Instagram story. The weekly story highlights virtual events, and followers can swipe-up on an event to access more information.

social graphicTakeover Tuesdays: Experience a day in the life of a Syracuse student via “Tuesday Takeover” on @SyracuseU’s Instagram story. Student takeovers bring followers into the lives of students through videos and photos that highlight their day-to-day activities while remote learning. (Students who are interested in leading a takeover can submit applications here.)

Wallpaper Wednesdays: Freshen up your cell phone background on “Wallpaper Wednesday” with beautiful shots of campus. It’s simple—on Wednesdays, watch @SyracuseU’s Instagram story, screenshot your favorite photo, and save it as your background.

Tour Thursdays: Are you a recently admitted or prospective student with your eye on Syracuse University? Take a virtual tour of campus led by the U100 student tour guides on @SyracuseU’s Instagram story. Walk through the halls and learn fun facts before you come to campus.

Fun Fridays: Show off your knowledge, check completed items off the Syracuse bucket list or fill in the blanks with @SyracuseU’s Instagram story games. Once you’re finished, tag your classmates.

Follow Syracuse University’s flagship channels on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. For more University channels, visit the Social Media Directory. Share your Syracuse experience on social media with #SyracuseU.
