Libraries Provide Temporary Access to ProQuest E-Books and Other E-Resources

Syracuse University Libraries is continuing to support the research, teaching and creative activities of its user community in the transition to online learning. In addition to the services outlined on the Libraries website, efforts have been made to obtain temporary access to several new and/or expanded licensed e-resources.

The Libraries has acquired temporary access to more than 150,000 e-book titles in ProQuest Academic Complete, hosted on the ProQuest E-book Central platform. Titles are discoverable by searching in the ProQuest platform and are set up for unlimited user access. Books can be read within a web browser or downloaded to Adobe Digital Editions using the link within the ProQuest E-book Central platform.

As of March 19, new or expanded temporary access to e-resource collections includes:

  • ProQuest Academic Complete – 150,000+ e-books
  • Duke University Press – 2,000+ e-books
  • ArtFilms Digital – streaming video
  • Swank Digital Campus – streaming video
  • Project Muse – e-books and e-journals
