School of Education professor Jeffery Mangram has redesigned the SEM 100 curriculum for 2020.
Faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply to be SEM 100 facilitators. Applications opened Tuesday, Feb. 4, and with an extended deadline, are due Friday, March 6. Additional information regarding the application process and SEM 100 is available on the SEM 100 facilitators webpage.
Jeffery Mangram, associate professor in the School of Education, redesigned the SEM 100 curriculum for the Spring and Fall 2020 semesters. “Through class discussions, our students will explore their identities and how they connect with their peers,” Mangram says. “This relationship building is key to creating a strong and inclusive community.”
Going into its third year, SEM 100 is a six-week course for first-year and transfer students. The course intends to create thought-provoking discourse around topics of race, identity, inclusion and social equity.
