Faculty and Staff Participation Requested on Campus Engagement Committees

Our community has been engaged in important conversations, particularly over the last several months, about how we can collectively foster and maintain a welcoming, inclusive and safe campus environment for all.

This dialogue has been important; more critical, however, is turning our dialogue into action. That’s why I am writing to you today: to personally request your participation on our Campus Engagement Committees.

Members of the committees will provide input, constructive feedback and insight into the implementation of the recommendations provided by our students. These committees will focus on the following areas, all of which have been identified by our students as key priorities for advancing our campus culture:

·         Curriculum

·         Housing and Residential Experience

·         Food Services and Dining

·         Policies

·         Safety and Security

·         Multicultural Facilities, Programs and Services

·         Student Engagement Opportunities (On and Off Campus)

·         Health and Wellness

·         Communications

If you are interested in participating, please complete the online registration form at your earliest convenience and be sure to identify which committee(s) you are interested in joining. Committees will begin convening in the coming weeks. Please note, some committees may host conference calls and communicate via email in addition to in-person meetings.
