The 35th Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee invites the University community to nominate an Unsung Hero. All Unsung Hero nominations are due Friday, Dec. 20, at 5 p.m.
The MLK Celebration is a night of dynamic entertainment and inspirational presentations of the Unsung Hero Awards, which recognizes local community members, faculty, staff and students who—like Dr. King—champion the plight of those in need.
The Unsung Hero Award celebrates individuals or community groups who exemplify the spirit, life and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. but have not received widespread recognition or been previously honored for their efforts. To nominate someone who makes their world a better place (or for more event information) visit mlk.syr.edu.
This year’s celebration takes place on Jan. 26, 2020, at the Dome.
