Higher Education for Veterans: Syracuse Has Gone Above and Beyond

Chancellor and President Kent Syverud and Michael Haynie, Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives and Innovation, Barnes Professor of Entrepreneurship, and founder and Executive Director of the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF), were featured in the Inside Higher Ed story “At Last, at Last, a Shining Exception.” The article praises Syracuse University and the IVMF’s effort to provide veterans with higher education while many other institutions make excuses for their low veteran enrollment.
