Lawrence C. Davis, undergraduate chair and associate professor of architecture at the Syracuse University School of Architecture, authored an opinion piece for the Post-Standard “Cities are ‘stretching’ into their surroundings: Can Syracuse keep up?” In the article, Davis states that, “a growing number of politicians, entrepreneurs and academics view future cities as a closely maintained network of diverse, well-connected built and natural environments spread over an entire region.” He builds off this point, discussing the future of Syracuse’s Interstate 81 and its effect on the city’s well-being.
