National Grid Work Planned for Comstock Avenue
National Grid is replacing a natural gas pipeline on Comstock Avenue. The next phase of this work will occur next week and will result in lane closures and possible traffic delays on East Colvin Street. National Grid does not anticipate a full closure of East Colvin Street at this time.
Upon completion of the East Colvin Street work, National Grid will install service connections along Comstock Avenue through the end of October. A second brief East Colvin Street excavation is required in late October and landscape work is planned for November.
Please allow extra time when traveling through this area during National Grid’s scheduled work. For everyone’s safety, you are encouraged to remain alert in work areas, watch for route changes, heed construction flagger directions and follow pedestrian signs. The campus community will be notified in the event that National Grid provides additional information regarding a substantial delay or change in the work.
