It’s that time of year again! Orange Central, Syracuse University’s official Homecoming celebration, is right around the corner. This year’s Orange Central is Friday, Sept. 13 through Sunday, Sept. 15. Along with the orange wave of alumni returning to campus, the Traditions Commission will begin looking for the 2019 Homecoming Court. Interested seniors are asked to complete the online form by Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 11:59 p.m. Please note, applicants must be on campus for the fall semester and participate in Orange Central week activities.
Once applications close, a committee of students, faculty and alumni will interview candidates and select the Homecoming Court. During Orange Central week, students will vote on Homecoming Court members to select who will be crowned King and Queen. King and Queen will be announced at the University Union Performing Arts show on Friday, Sept. 13, at 8 p.m. Students selected to the court will attend the Alumni Tailgate for the Clemson football game and be honored on the field during a timeout of the game. Following Orange Central, the Homecoming Court will serve on the spring Senior Celebration planning committee.
