The Syracuse University and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry Faculty and Staff Bowling League is seeking new members.
This is a fun handicap league accepting male and female bowlers who are currently employed at the University or ESF, or who are alumni or spouses. Skill level does not matter; beginners to high-average bowlers are accepted. Beginner bowlers are encouraged to participate and will be coached by more experienced bowlers.
Bowling is at Village Lanes, 201 E Manlius St. in East Syracuse on Tuesdays from 4:55 to 7:30 p.m., from September through April. Practice bowling is 10 minutes before the league starts. Weekly fees are about $13. League play starts Sept. 3. A practice session will be held on Aug. 27.
The league is in search of new members who would like to join a team or become league substitutes. Each team consists of four bowlers with one or two substitutes. Substitutes’ fees are paid by the team.
Team captains are Dana Cooke, Eric Greenfield, Aaron Knight, Jason LaTray, Ray Leach, Randy Money, Jeremy Morgan and Don Place.
