Work to Begin Wednesday at Waverly, University Avenue Intersection
As part of the City of Syracuse’s bike network project, the city’s contractor will be doing work at the Waverly Avenue and University Avenue intersection beginning Wednesday, Aug. 14, through Friday, Aug. 16. During the work, the intersection will remain open to pedestrians and vehicular traffic. The contractor will work on half of the street at a time, maintaining two-way vehicular traffic on one side of the street throughout the work.
Delays in the proposed work may occur as a result of weather, unforeseen circumstances and/or for safety reasons. In the event that there is a significant delay, Facilities Services will issue revised information as soon as possible. For everyone’s safety, you are encouraged to remain alert in work areas, watch for route changes, heed construction flagger directions/employees at work and follow pedestrian signs.
The work follows the completion of work in the Marshall Street and South Crouse Avenue intersection.
